Stump Grinding
Many times tree service providers can take down a tree, or do most of the work needed, but fail when it comes to removing ALL of the tree. If you are left with a stump, which requires specialized machinery to remove, give us a call. We use specially designed machinery that grinds the stump down below the soil surface allowing for for a better growth medium for a replacement tree or turf.
So, what is stump grinding exactly you might ask. . .and why can't anyone do it?
Stump Grinding: Stump grinding uses machinery and grinds, or chips away, at the stump until it is not visible from the surface. As you can see from the picture above, it has the ability to get well below the surface allowing for replanting of another tree or turf. Typically what is left is a fine mulch that can either be hauled away for a small fee or filled into the existing hole left by the stump. We recommend having some top soil on hand with which we can fill into the hole for you, leaving a smooth surface for planting. Don't be fooled into thinking that just anyone can rid your property of a stump. It does require stump grinding equipment to get below ground and the expertise to get to the bulk of large roots.
